My life that has become so chaotic, knitting has helped me through a lot, now that I spin and dye yarn and design patters as well that just fuels me wanting to do it more

Ok, I work at this bead store, and my boss recomended that I go to this yarn store (since she knows that I'm a knitter). The store is called Commuknity, and for those of you who haven't heard of it or been there, you are truely missing out. I went there today, just to see what they have. The store is 4000 sq. feet! Not all yarn, but there is a nice selection of yarn that I have never seen before. The employies there are nice and friendly. The yarn, some to die for. I was planning on just looking, but came out spending 100 $. I mean, seriously, I should have known better. Anyway, in the store there is a little nook, (and when I say little I mean like a good sized area) there is a sofa, about 2 chairs and a beautiful fireplace, when you can go knit! I mean, I've never seen a place with this kind of "feature." One of the yarns I purchesed is from a company called Louisa Harding Yarns, Impression. And this stuff is soft, and the colors are beautiful!! I give this store a 5/5 star review! If anyone who works/owns that store, keep up the good work!!!!

I've recently discovered the joys of two up toe up socks. They are really neat! I usually make socks from the cuff down, and get dissapointed about 3/4th the way done, when it doesn't fit! It makes me really sad! But with the two up toe up method, you can try it on as you go, unlike the cuff down method. I'm working on a free pattern with pics, so I'll get those up A.S.A.P.

Ok, I finally have gotten something off my needles. It's an afghan from the book Big Needle Afghans & Throws, it's a good book with some nice afghans. The one I just almost finished is the Quick Openwork Throw on page 4. I'm almost done, since I still have to attatch the fringe of death!!! But I think that it will be completely awsome once it's finished. And once it's finished, then it's going up for sale. If you all (who actually read this) I own a little company that makes hand knit, crocheted, and beaded items and sell them locally at craft shows. It's a lot of fun, and if you want to do it, I totally recomend it.

Ok, now for those in the California State, there are some fabulous yarn stores. One of them being The Knitting Room. That store is very nice! The people there are friendly, helpful and they actually know what they're talking about. Another little yarn store is Yarn Dogs. All I have to say is, wonderful! A must go to! Even though I said bad things about the Rug and Yarn Hut, I just had a bad experience with them once, and I just went back there yestarday (5-19-07) and were very nice and curtious.
